Bordeaux is where I believe you find the best wines. I would qualify that by the fact that I have tasted wines from Bordeaux back to the early 1900,s . They simply stand the test of time and really hit the ball out of the park at about 25 years on the better vintages. One wine I remember, 1957 Pichon Baron was just excellent. 1979 Latour, 1966 Montrose, 82 Lafite, 1970 Lafite, & 71 too. I could go on. I have designed a 4 day itinerary excusrsion to Bordeaux bookended by 2 nights in paris over a weekend, and if you want some cultural immersion, this trip is for you. Spa treatments, cooking class, vineyards visits, wine workshops, ebike riding, walks, inhouse dining in the very best of luxury boutique hospitality. This model is not like anything else. My goal is that you leave having immersed yourself in a culture that goes back many hundreds of years. Paris is almost a 2nd home to me, I know it and understand the routines and moreover I get Parisians. There is a lot of fun to be had, so please join me.

Some of these wines are an asset class, and sure we will get to see some of those properties, however the magic extends to three different areas in the region, all of which can label their bottles as "Grand vin de Bordeaux". We will visit the Medoc, the right bank, Pomerol and St Emilion and also Sauternes. Estates such as Chateau Haut-Bailly, Chateau De Fargues, Margaux, Clos Dubreuil, Chateau Leoville Barton, dont worry, we will get through quite a bit. We will have room for 5 couples, or 10 guests, however there are 5 rooms, so personal adjustments can be made between yourselves. This trip is not a la carte. The chefs will prepare dinners and lunches, and it will be old school, you get what you get and don't get upset. Of course we will make you feel comfortable, however this formula is a kin to being invited to your family home and therefore is delicate. I can assure you tho, we are looking at classic cooking, with a modern touch, fish, beef, sauces, lamb, lots of fruit and vegitbales, the very best cheeses, and puddings too to beat the band. Dietary restrictions of course will be taken pre-trip so arrangements can be made. However, I will say that french cooking is tip top, and is a matter of national pride. You will arrive in Paris, make your way to the hotel, and once arrived, you will be looked after until you are back in Paris and leaving for the airport at the end of the trip. These trips are ideal for groups of folk that know each other well, and are all ok with spending more or less a week with each other. There is downtime too, so please don't worry, these trips are designed to have you relax. It is the perfect corporate retreat too, business in the am, and activities in the afternoon. Usually we have our own in house chef. I have never eaten so well, and during my career as a broker at Cantor Fitzgerald, I dined at the very best 3 star restaurants in the world. I can tell you that my experiences at Chateau De Fargues and Chateau Haut-Bailly were even better, so you are in for a culinary treat. We try to focus more on quality and style over quantity. Bordeaux wines are meant to be enjoyed and they will questions of you, that too is something different, there is no such thing as a fruit bomb in these parts, so get ready for elegance. I look forward to having you join me in the cafes of Paris and enjoying ourselves no end. Cheers.
